During her ministry work in the Dimbwini area, Rev. Fridah Asami noticed that there were many children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. She started a nursery school with 5 children and it grew into Nebas Children Centre to give vulnerable and orphan children care and protection. The area is in a very poor community that is not very safe. Many youth are not educated and are idle, so crime in the neighbourhood is present. However, children at Nebas are well protected and don't go out without supervision.

Nebas has 1 kitchen, 1 store, 1 baby play area, 1 dining area, 2 bathrooms, and a small place outside to use as a playground. The facility is very small and often has to turn away children. Nebas would like to have an income generating project that would help cover secondary school fees and secure a reliable source of clean water.
