Fountain of Life began as a feeding program that targeted boys living in East Leigh. The boys initially received one meal a day and would later return to the streets. One evening, a shop close to where the boys slept was broken into. Unable to find the culprit, security officials attacked and beat the children nearby. The boys thought of a safe place they could run to and came to the Fountain of Life. Many years later, the home is blessed to have a large family.

Fountain of Life is situated in a church near several slum neighborhoods, including Dandora and Kayole. Many children in the community perceive the church as a safe haven. Fountain of Life offers them education programs, healthcare, and shelter. In addition, the home assists in spiritual development and runs an outreach program.
