An orphanage in Embakasi District, Nairobi, Kenya
Mutinda and Florence Muthama owned a business that bought and sold scraps and other recyclable material. The business gave them they start they needed to be able to open a rescue centre. They strive to help needy children have a place to call home and to give them an opportunity at a better life.
The Current Centre
Flomina provides shelter for the children to sleep in. They also have a bore hole for the kids to drink water and an area outside for the kids to play.
Source of their Funding
They receive financial support from Lift the Children, Local churches, well-wishers and business men.
Areas of Endeavor
Flomina Children’s Home provides food, shelter, parental care and love for all the orphans and vulnerable children they care for. They support the children with their education and strive to have them all in good health.
Their struggles include providing enough food for the children, inadequate houses for shelter and paying for school fees, their employees, and electricity.
