Son of Manaseh Children Home was started in the year 2007 in Dagorreti near the slum called Ndunyu. We later moved to Ngong Elpaso in 2009 still operating on a rental house. We operated in a rental house until 2012 when we got a land in Kiserian and moved there in May 2012. It is registered by the Government of Kenya under the Ministry of Labour and Social Services as Sons of Manaseh Children Home We work with all vulnerable children including orphans, abandoned, street and all children in need. Currently we are also dealing with children from Maasai Community who are forced to FGM and Early marriages including also boys who are forced to drop from school to grazed cattle
Sons of Children Home was founded by the late Rev. Joseph Munywoki and his wife Beatrice Kirigo Thuita had a great burden to reaching Least of These in the society which lead them to sharing the gospel with vulnerable children in Dagoretti in a slum called Ndunyu. They would meet them every Saturday and share a small bite for lunch and fulfill the missionary call. They soon realized that this was not all to it as these children were in need since most of them were orphans, abandoned and all vulnerable children. Most of the children were orphaned due to their parents dying of HIV/AIDs which had lead most of them to drop out of school due to lack of basic needs so they needed shelter, food, education and other basic needs. That became a consequent birth of Sons of Manaseh Children Home out of humble beginning never to turn back.
