Brief Description Of the Neighbourhood.

Neemaland Queens and Kings is located in Kabiria area, Nairobi-Kenya. This is an area where a large number of people living here are very low income earners such that even affording a daily meal is a miracle. Most of them depend on casual jobs to earn a living on a daily basis and this has made the Director of Neemaland to put more effort in carrying out community work around the area to help many families who cannot afford to meet even the basic family needs.

Most households in this area who depend on casual jobs also depend on well-wishers since most of the times they miss to get the casual jobs. Even accessing education for children from these families is really difficult and Neemaland Queens and Kings has been of great help to them.

Another challenge around this neighbourhood is difficulties in accessing clean water for drinking. Most households depend on water from boreholes whereby sometimes you find that the water is not safe for drinking
