LTC Country Directors report
Mum’s Love Children’s home is located in Soweto slums. Around and near the home is full of alcohol dens with many adults abusing alcohol and drugs.
Mum’s love is a very small space that has 25 children barely competing for space and air. Despite the challenges, Alice the founder has done her best to keep the children happy, engaged and loved.
A little bit of support will see the quality of care improve significantly
INTRODUCTION:
Mum's Love Children's Home started in the year late 2014 with 1 girl who was rescued
from her single mother who intended to sacrifice her to cult. After a lot of investigation from the administration offices and police, I was allocated the child for rescue. After that, I went to register the organization to the authorities and that’s when I started it after realizing my long term passion and a call had ruptured. Thereafter, childrens department, Chief Offices and police started referring kids to my home. So far I have 28 kids in total ad still looking forward to get more and provide second chance family lifestyle, long term residential to the children who are orphans, destitute, vulnerable, less fortunate, and abandoned and H.I.V positive children in the Society. We are situated at Nairobi County, Embakasi East, Savanna Location, Soweto slums.
