The Founders/Director

Peter Nyagesera was poor and neglected in his childhood. He loves children and is determined to take care of orphans and neglected children for the rest of his life.

The Current Centre

They have a small boarding house for the residential children. They also have a building with a kitchen and facilities for the children to eat their meals, an outdoor area for the children to play and classrooms for the children to receive an education.

Source of their Funding

Currently Lift the Children is the only ongoing financial support. They also receive money from tailoring, welding and carpentry work and occasional government ministry donations.

Areas of Endeavor

The Impresario Rehabilitation Community Centre provides schooling for 195 children. They also provide food and safety services to the children.

Present Challenges

Inadequate space prevents them from being able to expand to be able to house more children and provide more classrooms and toilets. Additional challenges include money to provide more food, pay staff wages and purchase more kitchen equipment.
