An orphanage in West Nairobi, Kenya
The Founders/Director
Pastor George Njenga and Pastor Regina Ngige. They hope by giving children love and the opportunity of an education they will help make a difference to the future generation of Kenya.
The Current Centre
Built on a quarter acre plot, they have a home built for the residential children, a primary school, as well as a small field for the children to play in.
Source of their Funding
They receive a small income through a few rental houses the founders had built.Well-wishers help at times through volunteering their services to teach and counsel those children who have been traumatized before they came to the home.
Areas of Endeavor
The children staying in the home are fed, clothed, sheltered, visited by a volunteer nurse once a week, and kept in good health. Schooling is provided for the 291 children.
Present Challenges
Limited space and insufficient bathrooms and toilets are a present challenge. They also need funds to send the children to school who have advanced from their elementary school and wish to go on to high school or a vocational school.
