An orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya
The Founders
EOTOO was founded by a group of like-minded ladies with the sole objective of giving back to society by uplifting the lives of orphans and vulnerable children.
The Current Centre
The children live in a 4 bedroom house which has a dining/reading area, a kitchen, a laundry, unequipped office and a small compound that allows for indoor games.
Source of their Funding
Members with financial ability make monthly contributions towards rent. The Sophia fund provides funding for food. Well-wishers and fundraisers provide additional support from time to time.
Areas of Endeavor
The main program is the orphanage. There is also an outreach feeding program and an outreach care program when funds allow. A Children’s Rights program and endowment fund is being set up to smooth the transition for these children into independent life.
Present Challenges
Funding for medical needs is most pressing for EOTOO. They would also like to purchase their own home so they do not need to pay rent anymore. They also require funds to pay staff.
