About Bethsaida Children's Home
Bethsaida was founded to help the increasing number of orphaned, homeless, and HIV-affected children living in the Soweto slums. Its vision is to offer these children a bright future through education and healing. Dedicated, compassionate volunteers and well wishers carry out Bethsaida's initiatives.
The children at Bethsaida attend both primary and secondary school. In addition, they have the opportunity to enroll in technical courses, counselling programs, and post-secondary education. Bethsaida endeavors to help its residents discover their talents through extracurricular activities.
Bethsaida participates in fundraising events and community development projects to support its mission. Following a fire in 2017 which destroyed its first facility, Bethsaida is seeking funding for new beds and stationary. It also looks to attain full medical insurance coverage and promote health management for children facing HIV.
