After 4 years she passed on in the year 2004 and left the responsibility to her husband Edward Mungai. Edward took the responsibility with devotion and continued attending to them for nearly ten years upto January 2014, when he also passed on. The responsibility was then passed on to their children, most of whom had matured and left home. Their children decided to carry on the legacy but realizing that they were not fully equipped they requested some of the well wishers to help them and hence a Board of Management was formed which runs the home.
